My Role
I led product and design across the platform — transforming Lawtrades from a talent marketplace into a more unified legal operations system.
As the product expanded beyond matching, core workflows became fragmented across hiring, engagement, payments, and ongoing operations. The challenge was not adding features, but connecting these systems into a continuous experience that could scale across both sides of the marketplace.
I owned the redesign of the core platform and led multiple 0→1 initiatives, focusing on turning isolated actions into a cohesive system:
• Marketplace redesign
• End-to-end hiring and onboarding flows
• Payments and billing infrastructure
• Multi-session engagement workflows
• Search, feed, and discovery architecture
• Website rebrand and redesign
• Design system implementation
In addition to leading design, I worked directly in the front-end — ensuring execution matched system intent and that complex workflows felt clear, fast, and reliable.
Impact
This work helped shift Lawtrades from a transactional marketplace into a more cohesive operational platform.
• Increased match velocity by reducing friction across both sides
• Improved onboarding and early-stage conversion
• Established a scalable design system across product and marketing
• Increased retention through workflow simplification
